Dancer In The Dark

Dancer in the Dark is one of the best movies i've seen this year so far. if not the best, at least the most affecting. tragic storyline, startling performances, a doomed ending right from the start. Notice how Bjork's character, being vulnerable throughout the show, is totally in control and strong during her dream sequences. notice how free-spirited she was during her dream sequences. a Lars Von Trier movie, expect some America mocking/bashing. the gritty camera works made me pay more attention to it, and i was lookin forward to Bjork's songs. there's so much to see in this film, really, besides Bjork and her music.
